Your Tennessee Floor Inspector

A CLOSER LOOK FLOORING, MOLD & MOISTURE CONSULTANTS & INSPECTIONS

Located in Crossville TN, and serving all central Tennessee.

Do you have a flooring problem in your Tennessee home or business, and need help in solving it? Do you have a flooring warranty issue? Or an installation issue? Is your floor being maintained correctly? Do you represent an insurance company, and need to know if a claim had previous damage? Do you need  pre-installation inspection? Or specifications? If you do, we have your answers!

Perhaps what you really need is not a full inspection with a report, but an hour of consulting at your location. Perhaps you just need to hear if your expectations are too high,  or if repairs should be done. For example: We have inspected hardwood floors that have cupped right after installation and we have saved the floor. But, we have also been called to inspect such floors too late, because they were sanded and later crowned. This is because they were sanded too soon. In these cases, we can mathematically determine if and when any repairs should be made.

We are a company located in Central Tennessee and have done many 1000’s of such consultations & flooring inspections. In fact, we are the only full-time flooring Inspection / Consulting Company in the state of Tennessee (to our knowledge).  We are certified by many training schools, and associations and inspect every type of flooring and sub-floors.  We also inspect concrete floors in accordance with ASTM industry standards for moisture emissions.

Do you want to go to court? Normally, nobody does. But are you aware that many inspectors pride themselves in the number of inspections that they do, that actually do go to court? We feel the opposite. We take pride in the fact that so few of our inspections have been disputed and gone into any type of arbitration. But, we are available to be hired to appear in court as an expert witness when needed. Or perhaps you can even stop legal action, by hiring us as a second opinion. If you would like to read about what an "Expert Witness" is click here

A Closer Look Consultations has been doing this same type work since 1991 and have many more years than that in the floor-covering industry (see "Company Profile"). If you are a manufacturer, retailer, or consumer we welcome you to hire us. You’ll be glad that you did! If you would like to discuss this with us, see "Contact". Or better yet, first check our website out completely. Then because all inspection requests must be in writing, click here, and fill a written request form.

We have been performing floor related moisture inspections since we opened for business. But recently this has expanded due to mold awareness. We now do full building Certified Moisture/Mold Inspections. Click here to read about this service.

We service these TN area codes with no mileage charges (in our scheduled route) 423, 615, 865, & 931.
